REAL Visionary: Norman J. Radow
As founding principal of The RADCO Companies, a national
real estate concern, Norman's vision of urban living has
been well received by luxury home buyers in all of the markets
the company serves.
He established the RADCO standard of sophisticated living
when he redeveloped a 53-story Atlanta hotel and condominium
property in distress in 1994.
Norman has worked as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for
the City of New York, owned and redeveloped property in
Manhattan, was General Counsel for Euramex, an international
real estate company, and later served as its vice president
before forming RADCO. Norman has been an adjunct professor
of law at Emory Law School, and speaks often at New York
Law School (where he also serves on its board and real estate
committee) and the USC Gould School of Law.
Norman is also Chairman of the Kennesaw State University
Board of Trustees, (enrollment: 21,000) in metro Atlanta
and has been chairman of its building committee for 5 years.
During his tenure and direction, he acquired 137 acres for
the university, added 250,000 sq. ft. of office and classrooms,
purchased and renovated 600 residential units, developed
5,000 parking spaces on 3 decks and 2,500 new condo-quality
student residences. The University and Board of Regents
have awarded Norman several prestigious awards for his work,
including the Zaben award and the Bagwell Medal.
Norman holds a B.A. from SUNY Plattsburgh and was awarded
a JD by New York Law School in 1981. He is admitted to practice
law in both New York and Georgia.
REAL Leadership: Peter D. Fitzgerald
As Chief Operating Officer, Peter Fitzgerald brings an
important perspective to The RADCO Companies as the firm's
senior operating financial strategist. Peter served as Chief
Financial Officer since 2003 and was promoted to COO in
2008.
Peter has over 20 years of experience with both entrepreneurial
and institutional real estate companies, providing RADCO
with a broad range of knowledge and expertise enabling us
to expand the company without sacrificing service. Peter
has worked on all property types with an emphasis on residential
investments.
Prior to joining RADCO, Peter served as chief financial
officer/vice president of the Atlanta-based Green Street
Properties, which operate under the auspices of former MindSpring
founder Charles Brewer. He has also held the top financial
post for Miles Properties, a 50,000 unit residential developer/owner,
MetLife Real Estate as a Senior Asset Manager and JMB Realty
Corporation of Chicago, where he held positions as an asset
manager, capital markets associate and SEC accountant.
Peter holds a bachelor of science in accounting from Northern
Illinois University and is a CPA.
REAL Business Development: Anthony Giannini
Anthony oversees RADCO's business development and acquisition activities throughout the Midwest and West coast and heads our Chicago office. Anthony has over 20 years experience in portfolio/asset management, restructuring debt, loan sales, acquisition analysis, and debt and equity placement. Mr. Giannini has also developed for his own portfolio over 200 residential condominium units with a total value of $65 million. Throughout his career Anthony has structured and closed over $1 billion in real estate transactions.
Prior to joining RADCO, Anthony served as Vice President for Royal Bank of Canada-Capital Markets, responsible for the creation and operation of the U.S. Midwest region lending operation. Previously he worked as Regional Vice President and Assistant Regional Manager for the John Hancock Life Insurance Company, Assistant Vice President and Officer for The Tokai Bank, and Investment and Financial Analyst for The Balcor Company.
Anthony graduated from Elmhurst College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Loyola University with an M.B.A in Finance.
REAL Achievement: Roderick Flint
Roderick joined RADCO as Senior Vice President of its Western
Division operations. Roderick is responsible for leading,
staffing and executing business plans for the Western U.S.
Roderick was most recently Division President for Mosaic Homes,
a division of Sun Cal, a California single-family homebuilder.
For five years, Roderick was also Division President of Pulte
Homes Los Angeles office, which finished first in JD Powers
rankings for Los Angeles while achieving the 5th highest score
in the nation.
Roderick obtained an MBA from Washington University in St.
Louis, MO and a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State
University.
REAL Marketing: Kevin Price
Kevin is RADCO's Vice President of condominium operations
and is responsible for all condominium activities with an
emphasis on sales. Kevin had ten successful years with Crescent
Heights running its Washington DC and Los Angeles office.
He joined RADCO in 2007 as a Project Manager for case development
and was promoted to director of all condominium projects in
2008.
Kevin graduated from Babson College with a degree in business.
REAL Expertise: Ethel Spyratos
As the in-house counsel for The RADCO Companies, Ethel is
immersed in the detail of the firm's comprehensive real estate
development activities. She was tapped for the post at RADCO
in December 2003 after eight years of legal and real estate
experience.
Prior to joining the company, Ethel has held posts in some
of Chicago's respected business law firms - Rooks, Pitts &
Poust and Robbins, Salomon & Patt - directing commercial and
residential real estate transactions, land acquisitions and
property management and trademark law matters. She also spent
time with Koenig & Strey, where she assisted in the management
of the real estate firm's in-house title company.
Ethel is admitted to the Illinois and Georgia Bars.
Ethel earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois
at Chicago and a Jurist Doctor degree from Northern Illinois
University. She was appointed to and is actively involved
in the corporation, securities, and business law section council
and the real estate law section council of the Illinois State
Bar Association.
REAL Entrepreneurship: Joseph Renaud
Joseph is RADCO's Vice President of Operations. Joseph brings to RADCO expertise in portfolio management, acquisitions and dispositions, asset management, multifamily/office/retail/hotel underwriting, construction development, financial accounting, capital markets, risk management, and investor and public relations. Joseph oversees all of RADCO’s owned multifamily portfolio, multifamily workouts, receiver assignments, and acquisition activities.
Prior to joining RADCO, he served as an Associate Director for GE Commercial Finance's North America Lending, where he helped the team close over $150 million in structured transactions. Previously, he worked as Director of Operations for Green Realty Development Co., Portfolio Analyst for The Related Companies, Centerline Capital Group and American Mortgage Acceptance Company, as well as a Multifamily Lending Officer for North Fork Bank.
Joseph graduated from the University of Louisiana/Monroe with a B.A. Degree in Legal Studies and a B.B.A. in Finance.
REAL Detail: Lisa Budronis
As the Controller, Lisa
is responsible for financial oversight, reporting and internal
controls over the various RADCO projects. Most recently, Lisa
was a regional accountant for Newland Communities and was
responsible for managing all accounting activities for Florida
land development projects.
Lisa graduated from Virginia Tech with degrees in finance and management.
REAL Direction: Karen Lusby
Karen is responsible for selecting and directing third party
management companies for our multifamily and condominium projects.
Her responsibility is to make our third parties succeed and
she will use every tool in her (and RADCO's) arsenal to bring
value to our projects. Karen joined the company in 2008 and
has introduced new dimensions to the services we render. She
is an excellent added resource to our project managers and
has already added value to every project she has undertaken.
Before joining RADCO, Karen enjoyed 18 years of hands on
management experience with The Lane Company, JPI, and Archstone
Smith, among others, in diverse markets and project types.
She is a tour de force for managing distressed assets and
turning around rental properties.
REAL Accuracy: Tim Meredith
Tim joined RADCO in 2008 as senior accountant to add more
firepower and depth to the company's already excellent finance
group.
As senior accountant, Tim reviews project accounting needs,
formulates systems and works with our accounting staff to
ensure prompt and accurate reporting and budgeting compliance.
He is committed to our Company's mission and has been at the
forefront in organizing the finance group to act with entrepreneurial
speed and efficiency.
Tim has seven years experience in staff accounting and holds
a BBA in finance, an MBA in management and marketing and an
MA in accounting, all from Kennesaw State University.
REAL Turn-around Specialist: Michelle Smith
Michelle joined the RADCO team in 2008 as a senior property
manager, handling our Connecticut portfolio and has proven
to be an essential member of our multifamily management team.
She has 9 years with two national management companies encompassing
acquisition, lease-up, value-add, full renovations, transitions,
sales, due diligence and distressed communities experience.
Michelle's expertise is in turning distressed communities
into revenue generating assets and preparing them for sale,
making her a perfect addition to the RADCO family.
Michelle graduated from the University of New Mexico. Michelle
also holds a Certified Apartment Manager designation from
the National Apartment Association.
REAL Analytics: Logan Duke
Logan joined RADCO in 2008 as an acquisition analyst and has since been promoted to senior analyst. Logan provides overall support of RADCO's investment strategies and workout assignments nationwide. Logan is responsible for the creation and presentation of various cashflow models, financial analysis, due diligence and workout performance, returns and forecasts. Logan participates in the monthly and quarterly reporting to the firms principals including evaluation and overview of workout assignments and other assets.
Logan graduated from the Terry College of Business Real Estate Program at the University of Georgia with a Bachelors in Business Administration.
REAL Project Management: James J. Elliott
James J. Elliott joined the RADCO Companies in 2006 as Condominium Operations Director. James brings an extensive background in property management and operations to RADCO, combined with his tenacity and unbridled energy. James exudes success.
Before joining the company he worked with a property management firm for several years, gaining experience while working on a variety of apartment and condominium projects. His past experience included mixed-use developments and high-rise communities. No matter the clientele, James understands the importance that excellent customer service plays in a project's success. Delivering a product and personal service that is above and beyond the client's expectations is his constant focus. James understands how to motivate third party service providers and make them, and our projects, successful. He also has excellent marketing skills.
In 2008, James was promoted to project manager and now leads his own development team. James has degrees in Telecommunications Management and Organizational Behavior Management and is currently working on his thesis for his Ph.D. in Leadership Development.
REAL Superintendent: Larry Stamps
Larry Stamps has been employed in the construction field since 1995 working for Shaw Homes (Homan Square subdivision on the west side of Chicago), BEJCO Corporation (Chatham Club and Prairie House (Southside of Chicago) and Riverbend (downtown Chicago). Larry was a part of the transition team from BEJCO to RADCO on the Riverbend and Prairie House Projects. RADCO's Greenwich Place in Greenwich CT, is Larry's latest assignment. Larry uses the concept of a team approach to getting things done. The most important thing to him is getting the job done well in a timely fashion. Larry has such a reputation for making things right and he is so good at turning bad situations into opportunities, that he has earned the nickname "Punch" from his coworkers and our customers.
REAL Analysis: Scott Mehlman
Scott is a recent magna cum laude graduate of the Kenan-Flagler Business School at The University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill and brings extraordinary determination to each assignment. His modeling proficiency is exemplary.
As Project Associate, Scott is charged with a broad range of responsibilities related to RADCO projects, among them master budgeting, forecasting, market and pricing analyses, acquisitions, underwriting and inventory control.
His considerable skills have already streamlined and automated much of the pre-project work required in advance of on-site sales and have been applied with great success to RADCO projects.
REAL Construction Management: Roman Balzar
Roman is responsible for all aspects of construction management for RADCO, from permit processing, scheduling and budgeting to supervision of all construction projects, general contractors and change orders. Roman joined the company in 2008 and has extensive experience in construction.
Before joining RADCO, Roman was a custom home development project manager for large scale residences valued at over $50 million. Prior to that he was a field engineer with SE Minor, Inc. He earned an associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology from the Wentworth Institute of Technology, and is currently a candidate for Project Management Professional certification. He is a volunteer fireman with the Long Ridge Fire Company, where he has served as captain for the past three years.
